How Much Can a Ford Super Duty Truck Carry?

The main item that limits the amount of load a truck can carry is the frame. Oh, there are other items like the springs, the shock absorbers, the wheel assembly and the axle strength, but these are assisting items that help suspend the load. Each of those items, in turn, also depend on the strength of the frame.

In the Ford Super Duty truck series, Ford beefed up the frame. First, they created a complete high-tension steel box frame; then they added extra cross bars to add more strength and stability. The result is a truck that can carry more weight than any other in its class. The F-series truck is capable of carrying a load of 7,630 lbs. in the bed. That is weight separate from the gross weight of the vehicle with no load whatsoever.
