Satisfied New Owner

5.0
We have a 2018 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD that we have owned for about six weeks now. (It was a dealer demo w/5000 miles when we bought it.) We have made one long trip with it (about 800 miles with five adults and a dog - no complaints). We are very happy with it so far. I traded in my 10-year old GMC SUV and wanted a large 3-row SUV that can tow. My wife approves of the passenger seat (very important). As the driver, I really liked the adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and rain sensing wipers. The passengers took full advantage of the wifi hotspot. It has plenty of power and the 10-speed transmission is smooth as butter. I do not mind the engine stop/start feature (and it can be turned off). This is a truck based SUV so it does handle like a truck. That is what I wanted but it may not suit everyone. Our gas mileage on the trip was just a bit better than the EPA estimates.…
Excellent large size SUV but pricey

2019 Expedition Max Platinum 4x4
Great ride.
Excellent performance , features and space.
3rd row seats were fine for adults even during long road trip.
Gas mileage good - but not great -considering size but A/C usage now pushing it down a bit..
Drives a bit smaller than actual size but would hate to be parking in close quarters
without 360 camera.
Have not towed yet- but suspect will do very well.
Only thing not 4 or 5 star is price. Considerably overpriced compared to rivals - but also considerably better.
IMHO the best current non luxury full size SUV - and the Platinum approaches luxury level.…
dont buy until they fix tail light issue

Ford decided to go with a non-sealed tail light assembly that "breathes". Instead it just fills the inside of the tail light with moisture/condensation. Long term i am sure that there will be issues with the electronics of the light and maybe the metal. For me more importantly short term it looks horrible and will most definitely affect resale.
Ford and the dealership have told me they deem this issue normal and acceptable and wont make any repairs…
